The club held a bar-b-que on Saturday evening at the Lakeview Inn.  A great big thank you to Don and Dixie for doing the shopping, prep work and cooking.  Thanks also to anyone else who assisted them.  It seems everyone enjoyed the event.

      C.  Upcoming Election of Officers

Just to remind the membership that the election of officers for the 2010 calendar year will be held at the meeting conducted in conjunction with our tournament scheduled at Choke Canyon on November 7 and 8, 2009.  Every member should be thinking about who you would like to see hold the various offices and let someone know your preferences if you’re not going to be able to fish that tournament.

  1. Mystery Tournament

Another item of business that will need to be discussed at the November meeting is whether the club intends to continue holding a mystery tournament.  The cost of the accommodations at the event has tended to be a little more expensive due to the quality of the accommodations and their ability to accommodate a group.  Some members have made suggestions, but not by way of limitation, that the tournament location be announced in advance and that the tournament hours be shortened so that family members can attend the event and the fishing member or members will have more off tournament time to enjoy the facilities with their family.  Another suggestion has been to let the club bear some of the cost of the facilities.  Please give this matter some thought prior to the November meeting.
