Tournament Report:

  1. March Tournament - The March tournament was held on March 14 and March 15, 2009 at Falcon Lake.  We got to fish in the cold on Saturday morning, and in the rain during Saturday afternoon.  Sunday morning was rather cool, and as our luck tends to have it, it turned into a warm afternoon as we left beautiful downtown Zapata, Texas and headed home.  The outcome of the tournament is as follows:

1.      Troy Zipperer  -  22.54

2.      Don Richards  -  21.92

3.      Scott Hutzler  -  17.25

4.      Janet Zipperer  -  16.02

5.      Ed Manning  -  15.53

6.      Steve Bell  -  14.39

Big Bass – Troy Zipperer  -  10.4  (Current Club Record)

  1. Tournament
    1. The April tournament is scheduled as a one day tournament on Choke Canyon on April 4, 2009 and a Jackpot tournament on April 5, 2009.

New Business:

      A.  None

 

Old Business:

  1. Caps and Shirts
    1. A reminder that if anyone wants shirts embroidered (at your cost), make arrangements to get them to Don and he will take them to Ms. Goll.
  2. 2008 Award Banquet
    1. Due to inclement weather, the banquet was postponed.  The club paid for supper on Saturday night at Pizza Hut.
  3. City Tournament
    1. City Tournament is set for October 3rd and 4th with the lake still currently undecided.  Metro is waiting for the best offer.  It will be between Falcon and Amistad. 
  4. Bubba Bass
    1. The prestigious award went to Tracy “Fun Girl” Self by unanimous vote.
