Freedom Bass Club Monthly Minutes
December, 2009

Tournament Report:
A. December Tournament - The
December 2009 tournament was scheduled as a two day tournament on December 5 and December
6, 2009 at Fayette County lake. When
five of the participant’s launched at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Saturday

relatively comfortable on Saturday morning until the wind picked up later in
the morning. At day break on Sunday
morning, it was drizzling rain, the temperature was approximately 40º, and the
winds were forecast at 5 to 10 m.p.h. (meaning they
would probably blow 15 m.p.h. as they had done on Saturday when forecast 5 to
10 m.p.h.) At breakfast, by unanimous
vote, the decision was made not to fish that day. The outcome of the tournament
was as follows:
1. Denny Rosenfeld – 6.5 3 fish

New Business:
A. Club Web Site - After managing the web site for Freedom Bass Club and the club he formerly was a member of, James has asked that we find new blood to do the job. We’re looking for a volunteer to learn how to maintain the web site. James is willing to teach the ropes to anyone who volunteers. Our new president has volunteered to check the club e-mail on a weekly basis. Thanks James for all of the effort and fine work that you’ve done.
B. Pictures – The club also needs a volunteer to take pictures at all tournaments and club events.
C. 2009 Club Banquet –
The 2009 Freedom Bass Club banquet will be held at the January tournament at
D. Metro – At the November 2009 Metro meeting, San Antonio Bass Club volunteered to run the Metro Tournament in 2010. A discussion was held regarding whether Freedom wants to volunteer to assist SABC with that task. The members will be asked to vote on that matter. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the outgoing president will appear on behalf of Freedom at the December 2009 Metro meeting. A reminder again that as it stood at the last Metro meeting, the current holders of the offices of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary do not intend to seek reelection. If anyone is interested in any one of those positions, please contact Ed Manning before the December meeting. Troy Lynn (and I do believe he was sober at the time) volunteered to represent Freedom at the Metro meetings in 2010.
